We started our day with breakfast at a local restaurant. I was on the road by 8:25 a.m. It was sunny (15 degrees) with very little wind. There was a steep climb out of Ignace, but otherwise the roadway was gently rolling surrounded by wilderness. Brian threw a line in Lodge Lake today. He looked so happy! I was in a better frame of mind today too. Yesterday was also a tough day for the other cyclists we are in contact with. About 30 km out of Upsala, I met Brian for lunch. With re-newed energy, I tackled the hills going into Upsala. We found Inwood Park Campground on the other side of the village. The park has sites all around a little lake and you are on the honor system to put $12.00 in an envelope (and of course we did!) 105 km today.
