Day 29 – July 6th, 2011 (Wednesday) Oak Lake, Manitoba to Carberry, Manitoba

Happy Birthday Rodrigue! We had a brief rain shower this morning.  We packed up camp and set off for Virden.  We took the trailer into Four Seasons R.V. to get a tap fixed.  We drove back to Oak Lake and I set off on the bike at 11:30 a.m.  Another hot, sunny day.  The winds were out of the South and gusting at times.  There was some hill climbing between Souris and Brandon.  I used a few gears getting down, then up The Grand Valley.  Souris has been battling flooding from the Souris River which was supposed to have crested last night.  I noticed that a lot of the gravel roads heading South to that town were closed.   Dragon flys are everywhere.  They have been feasting on the abundance of bugs and the dragon flys are flourishing.  By 4 p.m. I was so hot, that we decided to stop for the night near Carberry, Manitoba.  Total km today 90.
